The largest multinational human resources firm in the world, Adecco, was one of the principle sponsors of the 32ND America's Cup held in Valencia in 2007. As well as sponsoring the event, Adecco was responsible for the human resources (hiring of temporary staff and volunteers for the event).

Media Minds was commissioned to produce a book on the America's Cup but with a human angle in order to show the enormous variety and number of people involved in hosting this important competition.
